The pictures below (including the two videos at the bottom of this post) are of our new house here on Okinawa. It is located on Camp McTureous, which is just a family housing base. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the outside because I forgot. When I get a chance, I'll get one up here... Our unit has been freshly painted and all floor tiles have been waxed and buffed on 26 Aug. I move in tomorrow and will setup the house somewhat so when Andreana and Victoria arrive on Wednesday the 3rd, they will be comfortable. It won't feel like home until Andreana does her "home" touches to it, which I can't wait for!!
We're living in a building that has 6 apartments in a row that are two-stories each (Letters A through F). We're in an end unit, like I mentioned before, which means we only have neighbors on one side. Also, today I looked out my front door and less than 50 feet from our building is another. The closest apartment in the next builing is a friend of mine that was an instructor at Fort Leonard Wood, MO while I was attending school there. How small is the world that having travelled more than 8,000 miles to another country that they are our closest neighbors. Although he is deploying to Iraq in a few days, his wife and children will stay here, which means that Andreana and Victoria will have someone we know close to show us the ropes! I hope that you enjoy the little tour. It took me forever to complete this because the internet connection in the base lodging is like sending it snail-mail! Again, videos are the last two at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!

This is the Half-bath for Downstairs. It's at the End of the Hallway before Entering the Living Room.
Refrigerator, Stove and Doorway into Living Room. The Last Cabinet on Right Side Before Door is the Pantry.
The above video provides a small tour (taken by my cell phone) of the downstairs of our new house on Camp McTureous, Okinawa. Bare with me on the level of technology as our video camera has been shipped in a box to ourselves from Massachusetts, and our digital still camera is with Andreana so she can take pictures of her and Victoria as they finish their travels.
The above video provides a small tour of the the upstairs...

Hi,
My name is Kandy and I'm the "To Live" editor on www.OkinawaHai.com
I love your pictures from the house on Camp McT. Do you think, when you have some spare time, that you could fill out a template which can be found at: http://www.okinawahai.com/my_weblog/files/oki_onbase_template.doc and attach the great pics for an on base housing post that I'll use in the future? I hope you are settled in and enjoying Okinawa. Let me know if your family has any questions!
