Botanical Garden-Japan

Although it has been raining here for the past 3 days, we seemed to find a break in the rain after church on Sunday to visit the Botanical Gardens. We took a tram ride around the park. Victoria didn't like that. It could have been because the loud speaker explaining what was what was right in our ear and we couldn't understand a word she was saying because it was all in Japanese. I think I understand why the Japanese language isn't considered a romance language, it is not very soothing to listen to. There were some beautiful tropical flowers and some great spots for pictures. I think the highlight of the day was feeding the Carp. For 100 yen we got some fish food and we couldn't believe how many carp were in the pond. I think they could smell the food from in the water, they swarmed over to get a morsel. Victoria didn't know what to think about it.
There were two pretty neat gift shops there as well. A bit expensive but what gift shop isn't. There is a nice looking restaurant there too, but we adventured out this past weekend and tried a new restaurant and we didn't like it, so we are done adventuring new restaurants for now, I am sure we will get the itch again soon.
There were some pretty painted cows around the park. I guess I would say they were very Chiquita Raveraish (Sorry but a little Joke Elaine and Jenny will get). We thought the surfing cow was pretty interesting so one of the Japanese tour guides took a picture of us in front of it.
What a great day!
Love and miss you all.
