Victoria's 2nd Halloween in Okinawa

Although it was raining it didn't keep all the ghouls, goblins and fairies from coming out and enjoying some good ole' fashion trick-or-treating. Victoria's day started with picking out a pumpkin to carve. She didn't care much for that part, she kept getting away from us and running to the playground. After we carved our pumpkin we went straight to the playground. After an afternoon nap and some dinner, Victoria dressed up in her fairy princess costume and headed out to trick-or-treat. She loved having run of the neighborhood, and seeing all of the children out and about in their costumes. After a couple of stops at some neighboring houses, we came back home to dry off with some apple cider and a munchkin, yummm. The number of children we had come to the door was less than last year but we estimated 200 children. We had 700 pieces of candy, and not one is left in the basket. We hope you all have a spooky Halloween.

Love,

Andreana, Rob and Victoria

What a beautiful fairy princess Toria! We hope you had fun and got lots of Treats and no Tricks. Fr. Rocko was telling us about the meaning of Halloween today in church. Hallow mean Holy, and een is an old word meaning evening. It's the holy evening before All Saints Day when we celebrate the good "treats" that good people have given us. Interesting huh! Love you always and forever,
